Jeanine Worden joined the University of Maryland
in May 2002 and serves as the liaison between CMPS and OIT. Jeanine
is available to support faculty with their use of technology for teaching
and research, including general UNIX support, occasional PC support, and
help in application software specific to the College. Jeanine also
provides support and coordination for the system administrators in the
College.
In addition to providing faculty support, Jeanine's focus is on supporting
the various departments and research institutions with concerns relating
to wireless service, backup and storage, computer security, and LINUX clustering.
Jeanine comes to CMPS with over twelve years of
experience working in IT at the US Dept. of Agriculture. Jeanine's IT experience
covers UNIX and database administration, as well as application programming.
Jeanine also has experience as a high school mathematics teacher for Maryland
Public Schools and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bethany
College, WV.
