Analysis on Fractals - Math 648 I - Spring 2008

General description: The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamental of analysis on p.c.f fractals, and more specifically on the Sierpinski gasket. Topics includes: Measure, Energy, and Metric on the Sierpinski gasket; Weak and Pointwise formulations of the Laplacian on the Sierpinski gasket; Spectrum of the Laplacian.
