I am an NSF postdoc at the University of Maryland. I study hyperbolic geometry and low-dimensional topology. I am currently interested in the local topology of deformation spaces of hyperbolic 3-manifolds and also group actions on PSL(2,C) character varieties. In my graduate work at Michigan,
advised by
Richard Canary, I found that in many cases these deformation spaces fail to be locally connected.

research page for more information.
