Research Interests of Ron Lipsman
Main Interests
Representation theory of Lie and algebraic groups, and Harmonic Analysis
of homogeneous spaces. Within these broad categories, I am
particularly interested in symmetric spaces, multiplicity theory,
Plancherel formulae, and invariant differential operators on Lie groups
and their homogeneous spaces.
Secondary Interests
I have done research on problems involving: solvability of
differential operators, dynamics of group actions, classical harmonic
analysis, representation theory and harmonic analysis of p-adic
groups, and invariant theory.
