This course is the first-year graduate topology course. Together with its sequel, Math 734, it forms the basis for the Graduate Qualifying Exam in Geometry/Topology. Click here for the Exam syllabus.

Grading. Robert Delgado (rdelgad2@math.umd.edu) is the assistant for the course.

Homework will be assigned, collected and graded. There will be a few in-class quizzes. There is one midterm exam and one final exam. An "A" in the course should roughly correlate to being able to pass the Graduate Qualifying exam, a "C" should roughly correlate to being able to fail the exam.
